Trish graduated from the University of Kent at Canterbury with an Honours Degree in Modern Languages and moved to the University of Leeds to take the Post Graduate Certificate in Education. After working in schools in Leeds and Harrogate Trish took up a position in a Bath secondary school and has been a successful Head of Modern Languages for the past 20 years. During this time she has led a large team through many curriculum changes, implementing, overseeing and evaluating every aspect of language teaching and learning.
Trish is familiar with all the English exam boards through to the new “A” level specifications. She has taught the full ability range and she has not only helped her many students to achieve excellent examination results but endeavours to infuse in them a love of language and the confidence to pursue their language studies. She specialises in the teaching of French.
Two years ago Trish decided to relinquish her role as Head of Department in order to pursue other interests and to move away from the administrative work, leaving more time to focus on a wider variety of teaching. Whilst still working part time in school she now also teaches adults, tailoring her lessons to their needs, ranging from complete beginners to those who wish to work towards a qualification or whose aim is purely to converse in French.
