Person Centred Therapy was developed by the Father of non-directive counselling, Carl Rogers. It gives the clients unconditional acceptance, no judgement, empathy, genuineness, and safety. If these conditions of being are present in the therapeutic relationship then the client can begin to explore the issues in their lives and feel enabled enough to make changes. The relationship between the client and the Therapist is vital and if the therapist offers these empowering conditions then healing can take place.
